LIVING FEARLESS
Learn how to take back your power and let courage lead your lifestyle.
Learn how to take back your power and let courage lead your lifestyle.
I believe in Seasons of Success (more about that later) and taking back control of our lives when they just simply seem to be going off the rails regarding our mental and physical health and wellbeing. I don't always believe in the norm and often reach outside the customary boxes to find what works for me and my clients without traditional constraints that say, "this is what you should do," or "this is the only thing that will work." It is quite simply being open minded and giving something new a shot, especially when it can be backed up by a whole lot of science.
As a woman diagnosed with (and subsequently cured of) type 2 diabetes, I have seen my share of struggles, but I've also seen my share of triumphs. I struggled with obesity and blood sugar issues for decades until I decided there had to be a better way. I just had to to change my mindset. Let me take you on that journey and help you learn to take back your power. Type 2 diabetes does not have to control your lifestyle. When you let courage lead, you can take back your control. Of course, there were, are , and will be challenges, but with a background in coaching, psychology and just plain life experience, I might be uniquely situated to help you along with a rewarding journey of commitment to yourself. #wellnesswarriorlife
Living Fearless: A Chubby Chick's Adventures with Type 2 Diabetes
Part 1
Here’s a tidbit about how my Living Fearless journey began. Living Fearless was born from my story. I had no idea that my journey would lead to a new journey focused on helping others that would eventually become Living Fearless, but here we are.
In May of 2023, my A1c was 6.6. In August 2023, it had risen to 7.1. And we won’t get into my roller coaster with my weight just yet.
In September 2023, it was obvious that what I was doing was not working as my A1c was not going down, I had GAINED another 2 pounds, and I was literally sick and tired due to the fallout from the diabetes medications. Though I really didn’t understand how much my life was going to change, in that September of 2023, it was the beginning of my journey, the journey that would become Living Fearless and it would forever change my life.
By December 2023, my A1c was was down to 6.1 and my weight was declining at a notable pace. In February 2024, my A1c was and is holding steady at 5.4, which is great for a woman my age. I have lost 62 pounds and continue to lose, even now.
While losing weight was honestly not my intention when I began this journey, my blood sugar was my target, I have learned that weight and blood sugar have a complicated relationship and they are forever dependent upon and related to each other.
Thanks for sharing this tidbit of my Living Fearless journey. There is so much more to come. Make it a great day! #livingfearlesslife #wellnesswarriorlife
